Steven’s credentials include working as a certified health inspector, food & beverage director, certified executive chef, certified culinary educator at community college and culinary institute levels, restaurant managing partner/owner, dealer sales representative, manufacturers representative, and vice president of sales & marketing at major foodservice companies within the industry.
Steven has a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from the University of Arizona. He was active in leading the way for new innovations and product development with a pioneering manufacturer of food safety products for the foodservice industry and is a founding member of the National Restaurant Association’s Food Safety Program. As a ServSafe Instructor and Train the Trainer, Steven also holds a Food Management Professional certification. Steven has taught extensively throughout the United States, Canada, South America, Europe and the Pacific Rim.
Steven is a ninth generation Tucsonan and enjoys cooking and baking with all types of unusual native plants and cacti.
