Alto‑Shaam recognizes eight years without a lost time workplace injury on Weekend Shift

Alto‑Shaam is recognizing a significant safety milestone as the weekend shift marks eight consecutive years without a lost time workplace injury, a reflection of the team’s ongoing commitment to safe practices, accountability, and looking out for one another. 

The milestone highlights the impact of consistent safety initiatives, clear communication, and a shared responsibility across the weekend shift to maintain a safe working environment. By prioritizing awareness, following established procedures, and supporting teammates, the group has sustained a strong safety record over nearly a decade of operations. 

“We were able to make this accomplishment happen because of the consistent dedication and care each team member brings to work every day,” says Brad Klaus, Safety Manager. “This outstanding performance is a direct reflection of our culture of safety and the hard work everyone contributes.” 

To recognize the accomplishment, the team gathered on April 24, 2026 for a celebratory event that reinforced both the importance of safety and the culture that supports it. While the milestone itself reflects disciplined processes and daily vigilance, the celebration served as a reminder that safety is ultimately about people — and the connections they build with one another. 

As part of the event, food was catered by Smoke N Bones, a family‑owned restaurant operated by weekend shift employee Chevis Green and his family. Green’s involvement added a personal element to the recognition, underscoring Alto‑Shaam’s commitment to supporting employees beyond their roles on the production floor. 

By highlighting both the safety achievement and the people behind it, the event reflected how Alto‑Shaam’s values come to life in everyday actions. The weekend shift’s eight‑year accident‑free record stands as an example of what can be achieved when teams prioritize safety, take ownership, and consistently look out for one another.
