Alto-Shaam Donates More Than $100,000 for Cancer Research

Alto-Shaam raises $30,275 and donates $75,000 the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Wisconsin Chapter—towards a research grant for aggressive non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

The charitable gift adds to more than $515,000 that the company has raised and donated over the past decade plus in honor of the company’s founder, Jerry Maahs who lost a hard-fought battle with lymphoma in 2006.

Over the years, funds raised have come from the annual employee raffle, vendor donations and previously from a memorial golf outing.

Employees took a chance on themed baskets, sports tickets, and more with a grand prize of a brand-new Alto-Shaam Cook & Hold Oven.
