Alto-Shaam has donated a 1200-UP hot holding cabinet to support kitchen remodel and renovations at the Ronald McDonald House near Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago.
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana features six Ronald McDonald Houses, four Ronald McDonald Family Rooms and two mobile Care Mobile medical clinics across the region, providing essential care and comfort to thousands of families while their children receive critical and complex medical treatment at nearby hospitals
The kitchen at at the Ronald McDonald House located near Lurie’s Hospital, underwent a six-month renovation to enhance the space’s efficiency and modernize its fixtures, cabinetry and equipment to create a welcoming environment that fosters community, healthy eating, and culinary creativity. The new kitchen design creates a warm and welcoming space where families can gather, share meals and find a little comfort during some of their hardest days.
As part of its new professional chef-grade kitchen, made to serve more than 140,000 meals each year to families staying at the House, as well as the Ronald McDonald House in Northwestern Medicine Prentice Women’s Hospital and the Ronald McDonald Family Room inside Lurie Children’s, Alto-Shaam has donated a hot holding cabinet featuring its patented Halo Heat technology to ensure families have access to warm and nourishing meals throughout their stay.
