Alto-Shaam Launches Second Serving Equipment Donation Program
Supporting nonprofits by extending the life of Alto-Shaam equipment and expanding community impact.
Alto-Shaam announces the launch of Second Serving, a new equipment donation program designed exclusively to support 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations.
The Second Serving program provides scratch and dent Alto-Shaam equipment to non-profits in need, helping them expand their capabilities, reduce costs, and better serve their communities. By redirecting equipment that still has significant life remaining, Alto-Shaam aims to reduce waste while increasing access to high-quality foodservice solutions.
“Second Serving is a natural extension of who we are as a company,” said Stephanie Maahs, a third-generation Alto-Shaam family member and active member of Alto-Shaam’s Social Responsibility Committee and leader of the Maahs Family Foundation. “We believe food brings people together and strengthens communities. Through this program, we’re giving our equipment a second chance to serve nonprofits and amplify their impact.”
Second Serving builds on Alto-Shaam’s long-standing commitment to sustainability and community engagement. By reducing equipment waste and extending product lifecycles, the program contributes to more responsible resource management while delivering tangible benefits to organizations in need.
