Factory Technician Training
Authorized Service Agents (ASAs) are invited to attend this in-depth, hands-on service training class designed to expand your technical knowledge and skills. Training will be held at Alto-Shaam’s headquarters in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.
Class Size & Registration
Enrollment is limited to the first 12 participants who register. Classes fill quickly, so early registration is required. If a session reaches capacity, a waitlist will be available. If you are on the waitlist, you will be contacted if a spot opens.
Travel & Lodging Details
- Flights & Transportation: Attendees are responsible for booking their own flights and arranging transportation between General Mitchell International Airport and the Delta hotel, as well as from Alto-Shaam to the airport on departure day.
- Itinerary Submission: All travel itineraries (flying or driving) are required to be submitted to Sandor Horky no less than 30 days prior to training. This secures your spot in the class. Failure to submit your itinerary will result in forfeiture of your registration.
- Hotel Accommodations: Alto-Shaam will reserve and cover the cost of your hotel room. Once your itinerary is received, you will receive your hotel confirmation and additional visit details. A hotel shuttle will provide daily transportation to and from training.
Training Schedule
- Arrival Planning: Arrive Monday, before training class.
- Start: Tuesday at 8:30 AM
- End: Daily at 5:00 PM, except Thursday which concludes at 3:00 PM
- Departure Planning: Please book your return flight after 4:30 PM on Thursday
Week at a Glance
Day 1: Tuesday
- Introductions: Welcome technicians, review logistics, safety, and sign-in
- Factory Tour: Tour our facility
- Training Sessions: Hands-on installation presentations, website resources, and lab activities focused on Combi, Vector, and CMC units
- Lunch and More Labs: Continue with troubleshooting and replacement labs for multi-cook equipment
Day 2: Wednesday
- Multi-Cook Review
- Intro to Origin: Sneak Peek at our new oven
- Prodigi Training: Introduction and hands-on labs for Prodigi units, including troubleshooting common errors.
- Afternoon Labs: Continue troubleshooting and hands-on activities
- Optional Training Dinner: Available for technicians
Day 3: Thursday
- Prodigi Review
- Cook & Hold Training: Presentation and labs focused on Cook & Hold units, including troubleshooting and calibration
- Lunch and Final Test: Lunch followed by a final test
- Q&A Sessions: Technical Service and Engineering Q&A in the classroom
- Certificate Presentation: Award certificates and conclude training
Required Materials
Attendees must bring a media device (smartphone, tablet, laptop, etc.) and an adapter (Device to USB) that allows downloading and transferring files from the internet.
Devices must be brought to class each day. You’ll be expected to demonstrate your ability to locate, download, and transfer files during training.
