Donuts
Light and rich, these donuts are sure to delight after being dusted in your favorite sugar.
Ingredients
Flour 6 2/3 c. (1597 ml.)
Sugar 1 1/2 c.( 354.8 ml.)
Baking Powder 4 t.(20 ml.)
Baking Soda 2t.(10 ml. )
Salt 1 t. ( 5 Ml.)
Cinnamon 2 t. (10 Ml.)
Nutmeg 1 t. (10 Ml.)
Shortening 4 t. (60 Ml.)
Eggs 4
Buttermilk Powder 6 t. (89 Ml.)
Water 1 ½ C. (354.8 Ml.)
Preparation
Mix 3 C. ( 710 ml) of flour with rest of ingredients.
Then add 3 2/3 C.( 798 ml)of flour.
Dough will be sticky.
Refrigerate for 1 hour.
Rollout to 1/4 "( 0.63centimeter) and cut.
Fry at 350°F( 176°C) – 375°F (190°C) in Canola oil.
Dust with favorite Sugar and serve warm
