Bring them a taste of home with this simple old-fashioned oatmeal recipe. Serve with brown sugar or honey or make it deluxe by adding dried fruit, walnuts and whipped cream. This batch of oatmeal is made faster in a combi oven as the oats are cooked in the time it would take to boil the water using traditional cooking methods. This recipe is for eight servings of oatmeal.


6 c.(1.44L) Water
4 c. (907g) Old Fashioned Oats
1/2 t. (1.0 g ) Salt (optional)


Combine all ingredients in a 12 x 20 x 2 1/2 (GN 1/1) steam table pan and mix. 
Cook at 212°F (100° C) steam mode for 10-15 minutes. 
Stir before serving (no need to continuously stir the oats during the cooking process)
