Salsa Verde

Easily prepare salsa verde by using the steam capabilities of your Combitherm oven. 


  • 2.5 lbs tomatillos without husks, washed
  • ½ medium size white onion, cut into large chunks
  • 2-3 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 2-3 serrano chiles, whole
  • 5-6 branches cilantro
  • Salt, pepper to taste
  • ½ teaspoon oregano


  1. Steam all fresh ingredients in combi at 100C (212F) for 20 minutes at default settings
  2. Remove and let cool slightly.
  3. Place vegetables into blender, pureeing till almost smooth. Season with oregano, salt and pepper to taste.
